Both Supernovas of the Worst Generation, Jewelry Bonney would already be an interest to the enigmatic surgeon, simply based off of a count of legitimate rivals. He appears to be at least knowledgeable of all of the era’s messmakers, and through more disreputable sources, would likely be able to garner as much information as possible. A highly intuitive man, Trafalgar Law seems to put a priority on understanding the motives of those around him, to better put them to use for whatever odd scheme he happens to be working on.. and Bonney is would be a bit difficult to comprehend, making her somewhat of a target and a fascination.

Respecting her strength along with her status, a cheeky tongue and quick wit that can easily match his own silver tongue make any interactions with the headstrong girl an exciting, if not frustrating game. A distaste for loss and a penchant for mind games, having his own words turned against him is always a sure way to keep the sardonic doctor’s attention, and Jewelry Bonney’s abrasive, mischievous mouth never fails to impress the Surgeon of Death. Similarly distrustful and cold toward the world around them, he views her as an intelligent peer and potential crush at best, and a threat to his future ideals at worst. 

He’d never be idiotic enough to buy her dinner, however, as maintaining a submarine is expensive as hell.
